Commercial capability

More than lighting upgrades.

Jackson supports facilities managers, estates teams and principal contractors with electrical installation, inspection, repair and planned upgrade work coordinated around access and how the site operates.

EICRs, testing and remedials

Electrical Installation Condition Reports, fixed-wire testing and the remedial work identified for the agreed commercial areas.

Fault finding and repairs

Investigation and repair of electrical faults, with the affected equipment, access and operational constraints reviewed before work proceeds.

Lighting and emergency lighting

Replacement fittings, LED and controls upgrades, external lighting, emergency-lighting maintenance and related repairs.

Power supplies and circuits

New or altered supplies and circuits for commercial equipment and building requirements, based on the existing installation and agreed scope.

Distribution and three-phase upgrades

Distribution-board and three-phase board upgrades or replacements planned around supply, shutdown and site requirements.

EV charger installation

EV charger installation for commercial premises and suitable properties, subject to review of location, electrical capacity and agreed equipment.

Commercial power restoration example

Authorised fuse replacement followed by testing.

On an instructed visit involving an Aldi store, Jackson worked within the relevant scoped SIP authorisation to replace failed main fuses and test the installation before power was restored.

Restoring supply enabled the store to trade. The example describes Jackson's scoped role only; response arrangements and outcomes depend on each incident.

School and lighting experience

Lighting work remains part of the wider service.

At Arthur Terry School, Jackson's LED lighting work was carried out for an Equans-managed school site and planned around an occupied education environment.

Jackson's own access equipment supports lighting installation and maintenance at height, with the equipment and arrangements assessed for each site.

A useful brief

Give the team enough detail to review the right commercial scope.

Site and required work

Identify the building, affected areas, reported faults, equipment or planned installation and the outcome you need reviewed.

Existing information

Share available reports, photographs, schedules, equipment information or the project specification through the appropriate channel.

Operating constraints

Include opening hours, term dates, access at height, supply capacity, shutdown restrictions and preferred work periods.

The final scope depends on the existing installation, available supply, equipment and site constraints. EV charging, distribution and energy comparisons require site-specific review rather than a universal claim.

Estates and facilities questions

Practical answers before you enquire.

Can testing and remedial work be combined?

Jackson provides EICRs, testing and electrical remedials. Share the site details and any existing report so the required scope can be reviewed.

Do you replace commercial distribution boards?

Distribution-board and three-phase upgrade work can be reviewed. Existing supply, shutdown, access and installation details are needed before agreeing the work.

Do you install EV chargers?

Yes. Jackson installs EV chargers. The location, available electrical capacity, proposed equipment and site requirements need to be reviewed for each installation.

Can you work around a school or occupied building?

Access and site operations are considered when the programme is agreed. Share term dates or opening hours and the work periods available.

Next step

Discuss your commercial electrical requirement.

Tell us which site and areas need work, the electrical requirement and how the building operates. The team can review the scope, access arrangements and next steps.
